Myvi Replacement (D54T)

It is a well-known fact that Perodua is going to introduce a replacement of Myvi soon enough, probably by middle of this month. The launching event has been deferred once. Initial launching timing was April 2011. That deferment has allowed Proton to grab potential customers from them! That because Proton already launched the facelift version of Saga. It is selling like hot cakes now. This month onwards will be a head-to-head battle between Proton and Perodua. Below are some of the snapshots taken inside the Perodua factory.

Below is the portion from Auto segment in Buletin Utama, posted by one of the reviewer. In term of design and shape, I can say that there is no big impact compare to current Myvi. Why? Perhaps Perodua has been studying current Myvi buying factor. Since Myvi is already a phenomenon in Malaysia, there is no requirement to make the design looks totally different. Perodua designer is smart enough to play around with the new design important eye-catch part such as headlamp, rr combi lamp, bumpers, side mirror and instrument panel to suit the current body package. That is the reason why it looks like a facelift version rather than replacement.

However, the special thing for D54T is that it come with EPS (Electric Power Steering) which hasn't been used by any local manufacturer, Proton or Perodua)! It helps you to resist the kick-back during bumpy road and make the speed-base steering response a possible feature.
More information to be released soon...
