Infiniti JX (Seven-seater CrossOver SUV) revealed in California

These few years, we have seen many small compact SUV like JukeBox, X1, Mini Crossover and so on. Now, it's time to have big, better seating capacity and roomy body-on-frame luxury SUVs. Family oriented buyer who visited showrooms for large SUV with driving dynamics have been out of luck, until now.




Infiniti America's vice president Ben Poore says that three-row crossovers are one of the hottest segments in the luxury market. So by spring 2012, Infiniti to launch its seven-seater (three-row) JX crossover. The brand just debuted concept version of this luxury SUV at the Pebble Beach Weekend in California.

Infiniti says the JX will offer class-leading roominess. And, JX will pioneer a new technology called Backup Collision Intervention for Infiniti. The carmaker says that if the system detects objects crossing the car's path, it will brake automatically.




Under the hood, the JX will pair a V6 engine with CVT drivetrain. And power to be distributed to either the front wheels or all four.

Wait for the production JX at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
