It is already all over the local news that PDRM (Polis Di-Raja Malaysia) to use the first 10 units of Proton Inspira as police patrol car. During the hand-over event which has took place at Proton Test Track, there are lots of exciting shows by Proton RND team and PDRM experts.

However, it doesn't means that other manufacturers cannot sell their cars to PDRM. Police needs various kind of car for various kind of activity. They do hot pursuit, urban driving, and so on..

Considering that Proton is capable of designing a car from scratch, it is likely that PDRM will continue to collaborate with Proton to produce customize car for them. It will be much easier for PDRM to have car complete with their gadgets ready when they order the car.
In future, we might be looking at police (mobile patrol vehicle) MPV with bulletproof glasses and body like FBI's Hummer!
